Sowing Calendar

This is a simple overview of what to sow when. The plants are corresponding with the contents of my seed boxes (available here).

As a rule of thumb, sow cold germinators in autumn or winter and up until early spring. Sow biennials and short-lived perennials during the summer time – July is the month! Annuals are best sown in February on the window bench or warm green house and planted outdoors after the last frosts. Some annuals should be sown directly where you wish to grow them, e.g. poppies.
